Celtic cult hero Cadete keen for coaching return
The Portuguese striker, who scored 33 goals in his only full season at the club from 1996 to 1997, remains a cult hero at Celtic. Cadete met with Lennon at last season’s Scottish Cup final, and again at the Stiliyan Petrov charity match earlier this year.
Cadete told the Express: “I spoke with Neil Lennon after the Scottish Cup about this position.
“I am waiting and hope that I can do something to help.

Celtic are currently without a dedicated forwards’ coach, with first team coach Danny McGrain working closely with new striker Amido Balde.
Cadete said: “Many clubs in Europe have a striker coach because it is a specific position on the field, just like a goalkeeper. (A good) striker can give 20 points a season and they are very important.”
