Basketball: Gibson exits Peregrines to join Knights
The Leith Academy FP, 28, who has been a regular in the Scottish National team for most of the last decade, is one of the best shooters in the league and his departure will be a blow for the Musselburgh-based club, who won only three games last season and finished ninth out of ten.
Gibson is anxious to stress that Knights made no approach to sign him, saying: "This has all come from me - I approached them to see what the possibilities were as I was impressed with the way they are set up."

"Brian (Ramsay] has done a tremendous job there and it was hard to leave him as he was the only thing that kept it together."
With hints in the air of more signings, Knights may well be the team to watch next season. By contrast, Peregrines may have to regroup if they are to survive.
