Artis stays in front as Booth remains in hunt
The Australian had carded a career-low round of 64 yesterday and followed that up with a 71, mixing five birdies with four bogeys. Three players are two shots off the lead, including defending champion Diana Luna.
Scotland’s Carly Booth, who had a hole in one on day one, was under par again, following up her opening 70 with a 71 to lie six shots off the lead at three-under. Luna sank birdies on the seventh, ninth and 18th, with a bogey on the fourth, to go round in 70 and take her overall score to seven-under. Also on seven-under are Luna’s compatriot Veronica Zorzi and England’s Florentyna Parker. Zorzi followed an opening round of 69 with a score of 68 today, while a double-bogey on the par-fourth ninth restricted Parker to a round of 71. “I played really well the first six, seven holes and had a lot of chances and made them and then the front nine, I missed all my birdie putts, had a few opportunities and doubled the ninth, which was a shame,” said Parker.
