New Edinburgh Rugby deals for Dickinson and Toolis
Toolis, who hails from Australia but qualifies for Scotland as his mother is from Carluke, has been out of the Edinburgh team of late due to a elbow injury, but will be on the bench for Sunday’s 1872 Cup clash with Glasgow.
He said: “I love the way the club’s going, the boys respect Alan Solomons as a coach – I think he’s brought in the right players and has the right coaching staff around him.

Dickinson, meanwhile, has extended his contract by three years as he looks to continue his rich vein of form in the front row for club and country.
“It was an easy decision for me to stay with Edinburgh,” said the 32-year-old. “It was my first club, I feel at home here and I really believe in Alan, Stevie, Hodgey, Pete and the great coaching set-up we’ve got. Everything’s pretty positive.”
