But he fell just short of achieving the biggest-selling single of the year. That honour went to Eminem's Love The Way You Are, a song featuring R'n'B star Rihanna. The rapper's top-seller was snapped up by 854,000 people during 2010. Cardle managed to sell 815,000 copies of his hit single. In the album charts, Rihanna's Loud crept up from second position to start 2011 at the top.
