Weather in Scotland: Met Office issue a yellow weather warning as the country wakes up to snow in May
The warning is in place throughout Thursday morning, from 3am to 11am, and those preparing to travel are asked to take precautions.
Some roads and railways might be affected, and delays are possible.

Hide AdTraffic Scotland have asked people to drive carefully as heavy snow is already falling.
A statement from the Met Office confirms: “An area of snow and rain currently extending southwards from the Highlands and Grampians to reach the Central Belt towards dawn, will turning more showery in nature by mid to late morning as snow level becomes confined to highest roads.
"Snow accumulations of snow up to 3 cm below 150m and 6 cm over higher roads is possible."
The weather takes a wintery turn as millions across the country head to their local polling station to cast a vote in the Scottish Parliament elections.
