Scotland set for flurry of ice and snow after Met Office warning
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice, which will impact motorists in western and northern parts of Scotland.
The warning will be in place from 5pm on Friday until 10am on Saturday in the Highlands, Grampian, Dumfries and Galloway and some parts of the Central Belt, Borders and West Lothian.

Hide AdA Met Office spokesperson said: “Some icy patches are likely to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths on Friday evening and overnight into Saturday.
“There is potential for slippery surfaces and difficult driving conditions.
“Snow showers are also expected, mainly over high ground, with longer journey times possible.”
Temperatures in some parts could plummet top as low as -3C in northern areas, while it could drop to -1C in Glasgow.
Conditions will remain cold into Sunday with more wintery showers expected before rain is set to return on Monday.
