The exhibition attracts about 600,000 visitors a year and the installation, provided by the City of London Corporation, is expected to lead to an increase in visitor numbers.
Taking eight year to construct, Tower Bridge was officially opened in 1894 by the Prince and Princess of Wales (the future King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra).
