Banker claims he knows who shot him
German Gorbuntsov, 45, was shot a number of times as he entered his block of flats near Canary Wharf, east London, on 20 March. In an interview, he claimed that four former business associates of his were behind the attack.
He said they ordered his assassination after they found out he was about to give a formal witness statement about an attempt to murder another financier in Moscow in 2009.

He said: “I believe that the assassination attack on me was organised by the same group of people that four years ago was behind a raid on my assets.
“The main argument, proving their involvement is this: they are the only ones with a serious motive.”
