Twelve evacuated during shop fire
RESIDENTS were evacuated from a block of flats as firefighters tackled an “incredibly dangerous” blaze in a shop basement.
Eight appliances and two specialist units attended the incident in Glasgow’s Argyle Street, which was reported at about 7:40am yesterday
Twelve people were evacuated from flats above the shop as a precaution.
Argyle Street was shut between York Street and James Watt Street while fire crews tackled the blaze.
