Bus incident man detained near Scottish Parliament
A 54-YEAR-OLD man has been detained following an incident on a bus near the Scottish Parliament.
It is understood he was allegedly being racially abusive towards foreign students on the bus.
When they challenged him, he allegedly claimed to have a can of petrol and asked if anyone had a lighter.
Police said there was no risk to the public.

Hide AdA police spokesman said: “Police officers attended an incident on a bus in the Canongate near to the Scottish Parliament building at around 4.10pm.
“A man has been detained. There is no risk to the public.”
