Store launches accident help
A CAMPAIGN to raise awareness about major causes of accidents in the home was to be launched at Edinburgh Ikea today.
A year-long programme of activities, co-ordinated by Home Safety Scotland, will cover topics including falls, electrical equipment safety, burns and scalds, garden safety and carbon monoxide.
RoSPA Scotland's home safety development officer, Nicola Butters, said: "Tremendous progress has been made in reducing the number of lives affected by home accidents, but figures show more still needs to be done to reduce suffering caused by them."
