Scots comedian dresses up kids as Argos catalogue pages for World Book Day
Funnyman Joe Heenan, from Perth, was forced to be creative when he remembered last-minute that his children had to go to school in fancy dress.
The day is designed to celebrate children’s novels, and most pupils turn up as characters out of Harry Potter, the Horrid Henry series and Roald Dahl classics.

The comedian took to social media to share the snap of his two children wearing their school uniform.
His daughter can be seen holding a toaster and scowling, while his son looks disappointed at being handed a hairdryer.
Joe wrote: “Forgot they had to be in costume, so they’re going to school as pages 89 & 165 out of the Argos catalogue.”
The post was retweeted over 1,500 times in just three hours, by followers who said the idea was “genius” and joked that he had “nailed this parenting lark”.
Helen Thomas wrote: “Best thing I’ve seen all day. Genius.”
Jean Donaldson said: “I think you’ve definitely nailed this parenting lark. I bow to your superior skills and inspiration.”
Another follower joked: “Your kids hate you don’t they.”
