Royal approval for makeover
THE Princess Royal joined a congregation at St Giles' Cathedral yesterday to attend a service of thanksgiving for the restoration of the famed landmark.
After the service she attended a reception at the Signet Library on Parliament Square, followed by a dinner at New Club Edinburgh on Princes Street.
The service was conducted by minister Gilleasbuig Macmillan, who has served at the church since 1973.

It underwent a 7 million makeover, part of which improved access for wheelchair users and the elderly.
