Roadshow rolls into Blair Castle

The event attracted more than 2,100 people desperate to value their prize possessions which ranged from paintings and cabinets to ancient toys and a chair which Einstein sat in.

Hide AdAmong them were drawings from 1845 of the Atholl Highlanders's flag signed by Queen Victoria, brought by Company Sergeant Major Graham Jack from Coupar, Angus. It was this signature which granted the troop as a private army.
A 1881 picture from the castle's collection, showing the soldiers who protected Victoria during her visit to the castle, was also brought to the table, and Graham Jack spotted his great-grandfather's great uncle, left, in the image.
Fiona Bruce, Antiques Roadshow presenter, said: "We've had a brilliant turnout and glorious sunshine - the people of Perthshire have done us proud."
