Roads overhaul planned to cut accidents at blackspot
Residents say that there have been two recent accidents where cars have crashed through the wall on the west side of Braid Road on the bend just north of the Braid Hills Hotel.
The city council said that police data showed there had been no accidents that resulted in personal injury at the location in the last three years.

Dave Anderson, director of city development at the council, said: "It would be difficult to justify any spend from the road safety budget at this location as this budget is targeted at personal injury accident reduction.
"However, the director of services for communities is investigating the possibility of providing in the next financial year a safety barrier, along with anti-skid surfacing, on the bend just north of the Braid Hills Hotel."
However, he dismissed suggestions that the camber of the road should be changed, as the cost would be too prohibitive.
