Racism row scientist loses latest appeal
Dr Prim Singh appealed to the Court of Session to overturn decisions taken by an employment tribunal and an employment appeal tribunal which ruled against his claims that his former employers were racist.
But judges yesterday rejected his legal challenge, stating that Dr Singh had failed to prove any “error of law” on the part of the employment tribunal.

Hide AdIndian-born Dr Singh was sacked from his job at the Roslin Institute in 2004 following rows with Dolly the Sheep creator Professor Ian Wilmut.
Dr Singh claimed Prof Wilmut did not accept that Asian men could have original ideas. Dr Singh’s grievance was rejected by his employers. A subsequent appeal tribunal in 2007 also failed to uphold his allegations.
