Protest at East Renfrewshire Council Chambers
The Save Shawwood Greenspace Facebook campaign which was created after the September council meeting, attracted a number of professional people passionate about protecting the well-used and much loved green space known as Shawwood field.
This working group, and others including Save Broom Park (Newton Mearns), Friends of Huntly Park (Giffnock), Save Crookfur Park (Newton Mearns) and Save Busby Playing Fields (Busby) are working together to ensure that the council hear that the majority of the people they serve are dedicated to saving these natural open leisure spaces.
