Kezia Dugdale joins calls for halt to named person plan
Despite backing the state guardian proposals in the past, Ms Dugdale has added her voice to Tory leader Ruth Davidson who has also urged the SNP to rethink the plans.
Ms Dugdale said a full review of the policy is needed. She said: “This entire process has been an absolute mess and it has caused a lot of anxiety for parents. We support the principle behind this policy, which is that the children at risk of falling through the cracks get the support they need. But the introduction of the policy has been botched by the SNP.”
