Police presence increased ahead of Celtic match
Police are increasing their presence near Edinburgh Waverly in anticipation of tonight’s Europa League between Celtic FC and Dinamo Zagreb.
At least four units have been deployed outside the railway station and an adjacent Market Street hostel as visiting fans of the Croatian football team make their way to attend the match at Celtic Park, which kicks off just after 8pm.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said the additional police presence was “simply a precaution” to ensure that fans of both teams “behave themselves” upon re-entering the capital after the match.
