Hide AdA spokesperson for North Berwick Coastguard explained that the unlucky dog had “adventured a bit far out and climbed to safety on rocks.”
“Dunbar ILB quickly arrived on scene to uplift Fergus and returned him to the safety of the beach,” they added.
Reunited with his grateful owner, there was just time for a quick photo with his rescuers on the beach.
Call 999 and ask for the Coastguard if you see someone or something you are concerned about on the shoreline or in the sea.
