Palace is host to more visits
LINLITHGOW Palace is celebrating a successful festive season after experiencing a 37 per cent increase in visitors compared with last year.
Numbers were highest on January 4 as visitors took advantage of the extended festive break.
Stephen Duncan, head of visitor operations for Historic Scotland, said: "We are delighted that the palace has enjoyed such a successful Christmas and New Year in terms of visitor numbers. Despite the extreme weather, the site has performed extremely well over the festive period."
