Wind of change
At Gaia-Wind we produce so-called “farm-scale” wind turbines in our manufacturing and distribution base in the heart of Glasgow. We moved a small business to Scotland a few years ago and have since created or supported around 50 jobs directly and in our sales and supply chain.
We are now exporting to the world, with, as reported in your newspaper, a Glasgow-made turbine recently commissioned by the King of Tonga on that island.

Hide AdWe were rated as the Fastest Growing Private Company in Scotland in 2012 and the eighth fastest growing in the UK.
Gaia-Wind now has almost 1,000 turbines “in the ground”, servicing farms, rural business and homes and a large proportion of these, by the way, are in England. Real jobs, real rural homes, businesses helped to prosper. We need more and thoughtful, government action both sides of the Border, to support this growth.
