Tram alternatives
It would have cost buttons to provide a small fleet of tartan limousines, with suitably attired drivers, to ferry tourists to and from the airport free of charge.
Even at this late stage, free limousines would beat spending unknown millions more to clog up arterial routes with hugely expensive, inflexible and obstructive tram cars and all their attendant paraphernalia. We might never get a result with trams, however limousines could start tomorrow.
If continuing this folly remains a priority for Edinburgh’s councillors, then they are plainly not fit to hold office.
