The fur trade is based on unthinkable cruelty
As your article points out, cat and dog fur from China is often deliberately mislabelled as fur from other species.
But whether it came from a cat or a dog, or a mink or a fox - if you wear real fur, you are supporting unthinkable cruelty. Time and time again, PETA's investigations of fur farms around the world have found that animals are confined to tiny cages then poisoned, gassed or electrocuted. Since these methods don't always kill the animals, they sometimes "wake up" while being skinned.
You can learn more about this cruel trade, and what you can do to help stop it, at PETA.org.uk.
