Nuclear lessons
For many years, the University of Glasgow has run courses on nuclear energy. Hands-on experience was available until recently on a small reactor located in theNational Engineering Laboratory in East Kilbride.
A number of the students attending the courses were from Iraq.
If Alex Salmond and other commentators are to be believed, there would have been no work for them when they went home – Iraq did not have and never had a nuclear development programme.
I wonder what happened to the students. Perhaps they found jobs appropriate to their training in Pakistan, Libya, Iran or even North Korea.
