Letter: Too smart to push
Lyndsay Buckland's article on the raw findings of the study by a Medical Research Council team in Glasgow suggested it supported the "too posh to push" theory of birth.
In fact, while midwives and the government advocate vaginal birth, the vast majority of female obstetricians opt for a caesarean when they have their own children. So it might be more accurate to say that the Research Council's findings suggest that professional women are "too smart to push".
