The Scottish Tories are to be congratulated for at least unveiling one policy for Scotland: dualling the A9. But when will political parties realise that road and rail are compatible.

The Tory policy would have more support if it targeted, at the same time, the twinning of the Highland main line, between Perth and Inverness.
Good transport links are a key to a prosperous Scotland.
