Man seriously injured in Aberdeen city centre attack
The 28-year-old suffered serious injuries after he was assaulted by two men in Union Street, in the centre of Aberdeen, at about 5.30am on Saturday.
He was taken to the city’s Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as critical.

Hide AdPolice Scotland officers have appealed for witnesses and issued descriptions of the suspects.
The first suspect is 6ft, with a heavy build and dark hair. He was wearing a grey t-shirt and dark jeans.
The second man is described as 5ft 9in, with short grey hair, and was wearing a brown bomber-style jacket and dark blue jeans.
Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said: “Whilst this happened in the early hours of the morning, I would appeal to anyone who saw it happen or any part of it, to come forward and tell us what they saw.”
