Man arrested over Newton Mearns post office raid
A MAN has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a post office in Newton Mearns.
The 28-year-old is being held in police custody over the raid.
Two men entered Martin McColls in Mearns Road at around 9.10am on Wednesday November 2 and allegedly threatened a female member of staff at the post office counter with a gun.

Hide AdNo one was injured but a four-figure sum of money was taken.
Police said a shot was fired during the robbery.
The three members of staff and three customers in the shop at the time were left badly shaken.
Strathclyde Police said a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and the man will appear in court later today.
