Lecturers' fury over funds use
The university is expecting a 366,000 share of 3 million "transition funding" for training faculties across the country, after the Scottish Government announced cuts in teacher training places.
It was intended to prevent education faculties losing their capacity to train teachers, but a leaked document reportedly reveals that university bosses plan to use the money elsewhere.
Tony Axon, of the University and College Union for lecturers, reportedly said: "We have been asking for this money to be used to make sure we don't lose expertise in initial teacher education."
