Hundreds delayed as power cut hits airport
Aberdeen Airport suffered a full power failure across the terminal for more than two hours yesterday morning as supplies were disrupted to a large part of the Dyce area of the city.
An estimated 400 homes and businesses were also affected by the power failure which was caused by an underground cable fault.

A spokeswoman for Aberdeen airport said: "Approximately 30 flights were affected to destinations which included Heathrow, Manchester, Belfast, and Gatwick."
The power cut lasted from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
A spokesman for Scottish & Southern Energy said the problem was due to a fault with an underground cable. He added that engineers had "re-routed" electricity from elsewhere while the fault was repaired.
