Helping hand for doctors
A HAND-held computer used by doctors in a Lothians hospital has been hailed for saving time on busy wards.
Staff at St John's Hospital in Livingston have been trailing the tablets as a replacement for pen and paper notes.
Dr James Walker, a consultant physician at the Howden hospital, said: "The new system is saving time on ward rounds and allows doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and staff nurses to have the information they need at their fingertips."
