Glasgow charity Refuweegee launches Christmas gift appeal
Refuweegee, which launched in 2015, aims to ensure all refugees arriving in Glasgow are welcomed to the city âin true Glaswegian styleâ.
It has now launched its 2017 appeal to provide festive gift bundles to every family which has arrived in Glasgow over the last 12 months.

Hide AdâWhile we run our welcome pack appeal year round, this time of year it is particularly important as weâre trying to reach as many families as possible with our gift bundles whilst still maintaining our average 120 packs per month - and this month looks likely to be nearer 150,â said a group spokesperson.
âEach bundle will include a present for every family member and a game to play all together. Weâve put together a few suggestions for donations and ideally all items for the bundles would be new please. Gifts outwith this list are welcome as long as they follow our motto - if you wouldnât give it someone you know, please donât give it to someone you donât.â
The charity asks for donations of items including toys for children of all ages, family board games, chocolates and selection boxes, toiletry sets, slipper and sock sets, and hat, gloves and scarves sets.
Detils of donation drop off locations can be found on the charityâs website.
