Eurofighter radar deal secures 200 defence jobs
BAE Systems Manufacturing, at Hillend in Fife, has been awarded a major contract to provide procurement and electronic manufacturing services to Selex Galileo, as part of a deal to deliver the Typhoon Tranche 3a Captor radar programme.
Work on the programme is due to start this year and will run until 2013.

Hide AdScottish Secretary Michael Moore congratulated BAE Systems on securing the deal.
He said: "The defence sector is a valuable source of high-value jobs in Scotland. Our armed forces require the most advanced technology in the world to do their job and that is why they keep turning to Scottish expertise at places like BAE in Fife and Selex Galileo in Edinburgh.
"The Dunfermline firm is already supplying state-of-the-art technology to Royal Navy submarines and warships as well as working on the new aircraft carriers being built at Rosyth."
