The products represent an important step for the company, which is continuing to seek out innovative green solutions that will make a long-term impact on the luxury products they produce as well as the lives of those who use them.

“We want all our customers to know that when they purchase a Kinloch Anderson product it will last for generations.
“We live in a society of waste, and the clothing industry is no exception – with three out of every five items of clothing purchased in this country being thrown away within 12 months of purchase.
“Kinloch Anderson is trying to play its part in reducing this unnecessary waste.”
The company also offers a refurbishment service to bring old tartanwear back to life, and have even repaired kilts that are 100 years old.
Mr Kinloch Anderson added: “Our clothing and new pet range are all made with the same care and attention – designed to be used and worn for many many years and not end up in landfill.
“The pet bed cushions are an additional step in the right direction for Kinloch Anderson’s production of sustainable products that help the fragile ecosystems of our planet.”
Kinloch Anderson kilts are all made by hand in its Leith factory.

The cushions themselves are made from 50 per cent recycled ocean plastic, which has been collected by the international action group PlasticBank, a charity which helps to improve the lives of the people collecting waste plastic from our oceans.
To extend the lifespan of the pet beds, each one has a removable waterproof liner inside and replacement covers will be available.
