Elderly ‘have key role’ in future of Kirk
Bo’ness minister the Rev Albert Bogle, 63, who takes over the top post next month, said he wanted elderly people in congregations to feel “just as important as the trendiest young person”.
In an interview ahead of the Assembly, Mr Bogle – who was among the first Christian “rockers” in Scotland when he formed his first band the Living Stones in the 1960s – said the role of older people in the Kirk should be recognised.

Hide AdHe said: “How do we encourage our elderly members and let them know they are a very important link in passing faith to the next generation?
“I really want to emphasise how important the older generation is to the church and they have a real place in future communication.”
