Police probe discovery of body on Highland beach
POLICE are investigating the discovery of a an unidentified body found lying on a Highland beach.
The remains were discovered at Nairn Beach, 15 miles north east of Inverness, on Tuesday morning.
Police have contacted the families of local missing people in a bid to identify the body.

Hide AdA Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Following a report from a member of the public this morning, a body has been recovered from the shoreline at Nairn Beach.
“Police are contacting the next of kin of all current missing people. A further update will be issued when formal identification is complete.”
