Her Salon Studios business in Edinburgh’s Corstorphine provides rentable, self-contained, separately ventilated studios, allowing self-employed salon workers and their customers to meet in a “more controlled way”.
She said: “For most of us, a trip to the hair or beauty salon is a luxury - a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and top up on some much needed ‘us’ time. It’s so important that people can continue with their pre-lock down treatments, safe in the knowledge that they’re receiving these in the safest way possible.

The way we have set up our spaces means that there is no chance whatsoever of cross-contamination between any of our treatment rooms and this for some may make the difference between feeling safe or not.”
