Curtain opens at film firm Park Circus’ French office
The company will enter the French market in October with a digitally-restored version of director Alfred Hitchcock’s only three-dimensional (3D) film, Dial M For Murder.
A month later, the firm plans to release Peter Bogdanovich’s The Last Picture Show, described as “a brilliant study of small-town Texan life”.

Hide AdVan Papadopoulos, who previously ran the “Cannes Classics” section of the Cannes International Film Festival, will join Park Circus to run its Paris unit.
Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International have contributed £39,000 in grants to help the company expand into international markets, with the firm stumping up around £127,000 for the project .
In December, Park Circus won a contract from Paramount Pictures to bring classic movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, The Godfather and Saturday Night Fever back to the big screen.
The company also has deals in place with studios including Film Four, Miramax, MGM, Sony, Walt Disney and Warner Bros.
