Boeing could shift 777X wing work
Aircraft maker Boeing has warned trade unions that it will abandon plans to build the wings for its 777X airliner in Washington state in the US if workers reject its latest pay deal during a vote on Friday.
Suzette Cooke, mayor of the city of Kent in the state, said: “They made it very clear that if there is a ‘No’ vote on the contract, they will not build the composite wing here.
“It left the other parts of the plane in question.”
Boeing has had 22 bids for the work from rival US states.
