Powerful Iran-Israel show set for Edinburgh
A PROVOCATIVE show that pits two storytellers of Iranian and Israeli heritage together is set to visit Edinburgh later this month.
The Scottish Storytelling Centre will host Kingdom of Fire & Clay, a show devised by Israeli Raphael Rodan and Dutch-Iranian Sahand Sahebdivani, as it embarks on a UK-wide tour.
Initially performing separately, the pair met in 2012 and decided to combine stories about their respective backgrounds, examining the portrayal of fractious Israeli/Iranian relations by the press, politicians and public opinion.
The show, which will feature music from Anastasis Sarakatsanos and Bas Kisjes, arrives in Edinburgh on Friday 21 March.
