Hide AdPaul’s shortlisted image, Autumn in the Glens, captures a steam train crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct in Lochaber and is just one of his many scenes from the Highlands.
Judges said the train image was one of a number of a consistently high standard in his portfolio, adding that he captures the “beauty of landscapes with his painterly images”.
The winner is due to be announced on 29 December.
