Sports digest: Laura Davies claims title No.77
The 47-year-old former world No.1 birdied the first play-off hole to beat Thailand's Nantaya Sriswang, South African Tandi Cunningham and Sweden's Louise Friberg. They all finished on three under par.
Davies' win means she still has a chance of topping this year's European Order of Merit - although she will have to win the Omega Dubai Ladies' Masters next month.

Hide AdDavies, the first round leader on 65, closed with a 70 to make it into sudden-death and then hit the par five 18th in two shots for the easy birdie and the 22,000 first prize.
Vikki Laing, with a great final day 69, was the best of the Scots. She just made the cut on the final mark, but moved into a tie for 27th on five over par. She remains at No.8 on the money list with over 100,000.

Away win for leaders
League leaders Grange travelled home to Edinburgh in good spirits after a comfortable 3-0 win in the Subway National League over Grove Menzieshill. A Phil Sully double gave Grange an early advantage and Callum Milne sealed the points with ten minutes left.
Hillhead lost out to a penalty corner goal against Inverleith, while Western Wildcats recovered from recent poor results to ease past Greaves Clydesdale by a 4-1 scoreline at Titwood.

Soldering reaches final
Fourth seed Robin Soderling ended Michael Llodra's brilliant run at the Paris Masters when he saved three match points to beat the unseeded Frenchman 6-7, 7-5, 7-6 to book his place in today's final.
The Swede will face either top seed Roger Federer of Switzerland or Frenchman Gael Monfils, the 12th seed.
Soderling saved three match points on his serve in the 12th game of the deciding set, winning a tiebreak 8-6.

King claims his crown
After taking the scalps of Commonwealth Games gold medallist Rob Weale, top Scots Darren Burnett and David Gourlay, and No.3 seed Mark Royal, Auchinleck's Stewart Anderson lost to England's Mervyn King in the final of the Co-operative Funeralcare Scottish International Open at the Dewars Centre in Perth yesterday as he lost to England's Mervyn King.
King, a 44-year-old gamekeeper from Norfolk, won 8-5.
