Nine Scots in scramble for Tour cards
Callum Macaulay, Alan McLean and Elliot Saltman secured their spots in the six-round marathon after successfully negotiating the second stage earlier this week.
Already exempt for the final test were Chris Doak, Scott Drummond, Alastair Forsyth, Steven O’Hara, Gary Orr and Lloyd Saltman. The latter finished 12th at the same venue last year, when his older brother was the only other Scot to secure a card as he claimed 28th spot. Lloyd finished his rookie campaign in 133rd on the money-list while Elliot was down in 203rd.

He’ll be hoping for a better end to his season than a number of former major winners experienced in the PGA Tour’s Qualifying School at La Quinta in California – where David Duval, Lee Janzen, Shaun Micheel and Rich Beem all missed out.
