Murray roars into semis as Fed crashes
Murray looked in serious trouble against Cilic, with the big, powerful Croat taking the first set 6-3 and racing into what looked like an unassailable 5-1 lead in the second. After saving set point, the Scot roared back to make it 5-5 before taking the set on a tie-break. From then on it was plain sailing for the third seed, who won the following two sets 6-2, 6-0.
The match had been moved to the Louis Armstrong court from Arthur Ashe because of rain delays. Armstrong has always been a tough court for Murray to negotiate, but he will definitely be on Ashe for his semi-final match with Berdych, who was impressive in despatching Federer 7-6, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
