Deals in the Scottish Premiership and Championship are expected to go right up to the moment the window slams shut, as it naturally does on deadline day. It would likely be even busier if not for the coronavirus pandemic, which has not only impacted finances but forced the postponement of football below the second tier.
But what exactly will teams be doing in the remaining hours?
Clubs will look to England to bolster squads with loan deals, while some will be looking to fend off interest from down south with teams possibly looking to land a bargain from Scotland.
We look at some of the teams who are expected to be active in one way or another and what is likely to happen:
1. Rangers
Two possible deals could be done today. George Edmundson is nearing an exit with a medical at Derby County. Rangers may look to try and sign Scott Wright permanently but won’t push the boat out with the player already signed on a pre-contract. Photo: Rob Casey - SNS Group
2. Celtic
Jonjoe Kenny looks to be on the verge of signing on loan from Everton. With so much uncertainty at the club, loan deals will be most likely. The club missed out on Ben Davies from Preston so will be looking for a centre-back which could be Spurs' Japhet Tanganga and a possible winger. Photo: Shaun Botterill
3. Aberdeen
Dons fans will be waiting around for confirmation of Fraser Hornby’s loan move. The Scotland U21 star will be Sam Cosgrove’s replacement. Photo: Craig Foy - SNS Group
4. Hibs
Jack Ross has added well in January. It will be a case of battening down the hatches with interest in Kevin Nisbet and Ryan Porteous. Stevie Mallan will be allowed to exit, however, with the midfielder undergoing a medical ahead of a move to Turkey. Photo: Ross MacDonald - SNS Group
