The club are relatively new, having been founded in 2011 and are performing well in the Romanian top-flight where they sit fourth.
Sepsi, based in the Transylvania region, would be Lafferty’s 13th club in his career.
He has had two spells at Rangers, as well as one at Hearts where he was a popular figure amongst fans.
Lafferty netted 20 goals in 48 appearances for the Tynecastle side before making the move to Ibrox in 2018.
His return to Rangers didn't go as well as his first stint before going on to have spells in Norway and with Sunderland before the move to Italy.
