Benfica pair Darwin Nunez and Julian Weigl set to miss Rangers match at Ibrox in Europa League
Darwin Nunez ran through on Rangers’ defenders Connor Goldson and Filip Helander in the closing stages of the previous match with the score poised at 3-2 in the visitors’ favour, and the Uruguayan beat Allan McGregor to maintain the Eagles’ home record and salvage a point from Steven Gerarrd’s side.
However both he, and former Borussia Dortmund man Julian Weigl, are unlikely to re-play the move at Ibrox next week after both tested positive for covid-19 on international duty.

Benfica have paid a Portguese record for Nunez’ services, and the South American is continuing to attract interest from elsewhere in Europe, as is German midfielder Weigl.
