Hibs have signed Raith Rovers goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw, according to the player's agent.

Cesare Marchetti, using the official account of MSM Football Ltd, tweeted a picture of Laidlaw posing beside the stone-engraved Hibs badge at East Mains.

Along with the image, he wrote: “Delighted to announce the transfer of goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw to Hibernian.”

Laidlaw, 23, has been at Rovers for five years, playing largely in a back-up role to David McGurn and then Kevin Cuthbert.

Last season he was loaned out to Elgin for the latter half of the campaign.

Hibs have yet to confirm the signing, or whether the agent has jumped the gun.
